From beyond eight trillion, a sweet little smile shines faintly, disappearing into the darkness of the ventilator together with the warmth of steam rising from the dinner table.The lingering resonance remains, stopping time in every corner of Gamle Munch, awaiting the first cry of birth.

The Japanese artist duo MutsumiNeiro are both part of the core Butoh community in Tokyo and have worked together since 2012. They met while training at the Kazuo Ohno Dance Studio. Since then, they have worked and toured internationally. With over 20 years of experience as instructors, they have led numerous workshops around the world.

MUTSUMINEIRO is part of TekstLab’s International Live Art performance program, where artists share from their own artistic practice and socially engaged work.The program includes performances, video/film, art in action, and conversations — a meeting place for art in a glocal world.
